A Time to Dance

NEW to the studio in 2021 is our performance group specifically for beginning and intermediate dancers ages 6 and up. This group rehearses once a week to learn fun to watch and fun to dance routines in the styles of jazz, hip hop, and musical theatre. This group is open to dancers with at least one year of dance experience who want to learn new dances to perform in the community! Encore is open to dancers age 6-18 in the styles of ballet, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, tap with at least one year of dance experience.

Irish step dancing was introduced to A Time To Dance in the late 90s when Linda Cavella brought in a guest dancer to begin training. The Irish program quickly developed into many different level classes. In 2001 the Eternity Irish Troupe was formed as a vision to blend a love of Irish step dance with community outreach. The group is currently under the direction of Emily Jacobs. Each dancer is dedicated and passionate about what they do and love performing throughout the community! Founded in 2013 and currently under the Artistic Direction of Marley Davis, the A Time to Dance Junior Company promotes youth's passion and development of dance, with a focus on ballet, through disciplined training in a challenging and supportive environment. The company, with A Time to Dance Studio, presents its own original ballet each spring in addition to outreach performances throughout the year. This encourages students' growth as dancers while sharing our love for dance throughout the community. Auditions for the company are required and held each spring. Pre-company is open to ballet dancers age 8+ with ballet experience seeking additional focus on ballet and to begin the track to ATTD Junior Company. They are required to perform in our annual ballet and some community outreach throughout the season.

Our Junior and Senior Kickline members participate in multiple styles of dance at A Time to Dance Studio and come together to learn precision-style, high kick, high energy dance routines to share with audiences at outreach performances. Dancers range in age from 8-18. Jr. Kickline is open to dancers of any style age 8+ currently taking another class. Sr. Kickline is open to dancers of any style currently taking another class—entrance into Sr. Kickline with instructor permission and intermediate dance level in any of the styles offered.

Ballet Gloriosa is one of our longest running outreach groups. It is a liturgical dance style group that draws from lyrical to jazz to ballet, all done in praise. It is open to anyone age 10+ wishing to commit and pour their heart into dance, no dance experience is required. *On hold for 22-23 season

Mix-It-Up! is a dance and percussion company of inclusion of all abilities. The group formed in 2017 to train and perform in ballet and jazz techniques as well as on various percussion instruments. The group enjoys performing for community events, clubs, churches, and various organizations. *On hold for 22-23 season
